From a young age, the founder of BobaTee discovered her love for cooking in the heart of her family kitchen, learning side‑by‑side with her mum. Those early years; filled with shared recipes, rich aromas, and joyful experimentation, sparked a passion that never left her.
As she grew older, that passion naturally expanded beyond home. In Gambia, she became the go‑to helping hand for friends hosting birthday parties, engagement ceremonies, and family celebrations. Her dishes quickly became known for their authenticity, warmth, and unforgettable flavour.
When she later moved to the UK, her love for cooking followed her effortlessly. She continued inviting friends over for meals, sharing the same comforting dishes she grew up with. Their constant compliments, encouragement, and genuine excitement for her food planted the seed for something bigger.
With her heritage guiding her and her community cheering her on, the idea of launching her own catering business became an easy decision.
